Opportunities of Ligamys
Treating a rupture of the anterior cruciate ligament with Ligamys allows the following possibilities:
No harvesting surgery:
No replacement tendon (graft) is needed for treatment with Ligamys, and as a result, additional surgical harvesting of such a tendon is avoided. As a result, the scope of the procedure for implanting Ligamys is not as great. At the same time, there is no risk of pain or weakening at the harvesting site.
Option for another treatment method:
If the desired success cannot be achieved with treatment with Ligamys, there is an option to alternatively undergo conventional reconstruction using a tendon.
